***Rev MacArthur on misleading column in The Herald today***

Dear friends,

Some of you may have read the article in the Herald today by Rosemary Goring. From my personal point of view I wondered if she was talking about the same Church of Scotland that I serve as a Minister of Word and Sacrament. We have all faced difficult times these past few months and we still have many challenges to face in the months ahead. Whatever decisions are taken regarding the opening of churches they will be done so with the very best interests of our congregations at heart. Our members’ safety is paramount as is the safety of all in our communities who use church facilities - regardless of age. We take seriously our responsibility to offer safe places and respect each and every person out of our love for Jesus Christ. Please take time to read the Church of Scotland’s response to today’s article*.

With God’s richest blessings to you and your loved ones.

Maggie.

***CARDROSS CARES-UPDATE***

CARDROSS CARES. Thanks the many volunteers and the team organising the postcard distribution for our community. The postcards have all been delivered to the volunteers to put in the doors allocated to them and we hope to have them all out by Sunday evening. Remember that the two Nurseries/Garden shops are both able to do deliveries.

You can see Craigend Nursery video on the Cardross Community facebook page. Ardarden's shop is now closed but is taking orders for home delivery. If you telephone 01389 849188 and leave your number they will call you back. Do this by Sunday for a collection on Tuesday. Abdul at The Post Office is still offering delivery for the over 70s and those in self isolation and you can call him on 01389 841200. Abdul is offering free milk and bread to elderly with problems and he is delighted that a kind person has given him a substantial donation to cover this.

If you have not got a card with details of a helper near you by Monday 30th.March email CardrossCares@gmail.com
Keep safe and if you need help in isolation use your card for a helper or if no response telephone Rev.Maggie or myself.
