Special celebration
The congregation of Cardross Parish Church held a special celebration on Sunday (4th December) to mark the retiral of their long-standing Session Clerk, Sheila McGown.
Miss McGown, of Barrs Terrace in the village, is retiring after 25 years of service for the village church.
The congregation turned out in force to mark the occasion and show their appreciation. Sheila was presented with gifts that included a specially commissioned gold and silver brooch, featuring the ‘burning bush’, which was designed and made by local jeweller, Linda MacDonald.
