AN EVER-PRESENT HELP

Dear friends,

What a difference a day makes! We are all coming to terms with the changes to our known way of life and trying to process how they will impact upon us as individuals, as a community and as a church.

I received notification from the Church of Scotland this afternoon that as from tomorrow all services of worship will be cancelled for the foreseeable future. There can be no use of the halls for any purpose and the church office will be closed.

We will all feel shocked at this news but please do not fret. The Psalmist tells us that, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.” (Psalm 46) If ever we need to believe this – now is the time. The arrival of the coronavirus has created an ever-changing situation. Let us find our refuge and strength in the One who never changes and who has been, is and always will be an ever-present help in our times of trouble.

Please check the church website and Facebook page for updates. Even though we cannot meet in the church for worship there will be some kind of Sunday service available to access online.

Keeping you all in prayer in these uncertain days.

With God’s richest blessings.
Maggie.

We have designed and printed our Christmas card again this year which will be delivered to all the homes in the village. It features all the main services and events that are taking place over the Christmas period. We hope you like the card and that you'll keep it handy to remind you of all the things that are happening and that you will find time to come along and join us at Cardross Parish Church or St Mahews. Merry Christmas!

Daily bible verse

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
